Unit Eco at a glance

Technology that brings solar heat and power generation together.

What we build

The SolarSteamer is a solar thermal system for decentralised power generation. It combines solar heat, “electricity from heat” and on-site generation the way photovoltaics does.

Built for central European conditions

Designed for the weather and sunlight of central Europe. The guiding measure is efficiency: energy yield in relation to surface area and capital employed. Modular, with integrated storage.

Ecological leverage

Manufacturing causes around 27 kg of CO₂ per m², compared with roughly 78 kg/m² for today’s solar thermal systems – and requires no rare earth elements.
